URBAN OUTREACH

North Park's long standing student-led service program is comprised of six different issue-focused teams dedicated to providing meaningful service and volunteer opportunities for the University community. Our Disability & Elderly, Green, Homelessness & Hunger, Independent, International and Youth & Child teams partner with over 20 different social service agencies, schools and churches to address community needs.

TEAM:
The Urban Outreach Leadership Team will consist of approximately 1 Student Director, 6-8 Program Coordinators, and the Urban Outreach Coordinator (UMIN staff person). In addition to leading a site of their own, these Program Coordinators will also oversee other Site Leaders in their specific areas. They will help to recruit student volunteers and new site leaders, as well as educate the campus on specific issues and serve as advocates by sponsoring Urban Outreach events and activities. We are looking for new Program Coordinators and Site Leaders.

TIME COMMITMENT:
1 to 4 hours/week coordinating, scheduling, recruiting, communicating, (including Leadership Team meetings). 1-2 hours/week volunteering at a site (minimum).
