SOCIAL JUSTICE LEADERSHIP TEAM

The GP Team consists of 6-8 students who meet weekly for the full academic year to seek God's will for mission on North Park's campus. 

COMMITMENT:
Team Members should be:
·
passionate about serving God
· willing to utilize and grow in leadership and facilitation skills
· have a heart for social justice
· willing to share their time, thoughts, strengths and energy implementing the GP vision
· interested in learning about the theology of compassion, mercy and social justice
· interested in planning educational and advocacy events on campus

Program's goals:
· 
Educate campus about AIDS, human trafficking, hunger and homelessness, and other social justice issues
· Plan events to motivate students to learn and advocate for others
· Learn about the issues so that we can be a better resource for others
· Pray for the campus and what goes on around the world
· Educate GP trip teams about the social injustices in their partner locations

Events and responsibilities
· 
Involved in vision and strategy for strengthening our partnerships and increasing campus awareness of Social Justice Issues.
· World AIDS Day
· National Election
· Earth Day
· IJM connection
· Participating in a book study/bible study on Social Justice
