Service Learning in El Salvador

Here are some photos from the Service Trip to El Salvador in 2003. Click on each thumbnail photo to see an enlargement.  Two translators and two student nurses participated in this year’s trip. Doctors and dentists performed 350 screenings at 3 orphanages and over 80 surgeries (ear tubes, tonsillectomies, tooth extractions, etc.). In addition to our medical duties, we met with Salvadoran poet and novelist, Manlio Argueta, and we visited the offices of APECAFE, an association of fair trade/organic coffee growers.  Click here to see photos from the trip we made in 2000.
