on-line course overview
On-line courses are offered
during the Seminary's regular fall and spring semester schedules
and allow students from across the world to participate together
with Seminary faculty and on-campus students in an exciting and
effective educational environment. Students registered for online
courses are given computer accounts on the Seminary's network servers,
which can be accessed via the Internet using a standard web browser.
Each course has its own password protected website where course
materials are posted and class discussions are held. Course websites
are available 24 hours per day, every day, unless system maintenance is being
performed. Below is information regarding the minimum computer requirements
for taking on-line courses.
On-line courses benefit from a variety of tools, such as bulletin
boards and live chat rooms, which enable interaction with other
students and the professor. Commonly used course tools and components
