Babysitting
North Park University students are available for babysitting. Please contact
Career Planning and Services at (773) 244-5737 for names of possible
babysitters. Do not call the front desk of the dorms for names.
Rates are determined by individual students but expect to pay per
hour. Teens from Seminary families may also be able to baby-sit.

Driver's License and Illinois Plates
According to the Secretary of State's
office, if you are a student or the spouse of a student and you
have a legal residence in another state, you are not required to
switch your driver's license or car plates to Illinois. However,
your license and plates from the other state must be current. If
Illinois is your new permanent address, then you have 90 days from
the date you moved here to take your driver's test. For information

City Parking Stickers
City parking stickers are required if you have an Illinois license
plate and are available at most banks and currency exchange offices.

Driver’s license books are also available
in the Seminary Student Services office or at 5401 N. Elston Avenue. When going to take your test, please be
aware that the lines are normally long and it can possibly take
3-4 hours. You may want to consider going to a location outside of the city for quicker service.
