North Park University Department of Mathematics
The objectives of the Department of Mathematics are to develop in the student :
- the ability to think rigorously;
- an understanding of the fundamental principles and techniques of mathematics;
- an appreciation of mathematics as the primary language of science and an important part
of our cultural heritage.
The Department offers B.A., B.S. degrees in
Mathematics, as well as a minor in
Mathematics.
Announcements
- The Mathematics is pleased to annouce a new minor in Information
Technology that is designed to complement a variety of majors, such as Business,
Communications, Physics, and, of course, Mathematics.
- The North Park Math Club will be headed this year by Anna D. Lindskoog, Tony Ragona, and
Jill Swenson. Come to the Math Club table at the Activities Fair on Aug. 27, in front of
the Chapel, and watch for announcements of the first meeting of the year.
