Donating and Transferring Archival Material and Special Collections

Donations

We welcome donations of material related to the history of North Park University and Theological Seminary, the Evangelical Covenant Church, and the Swedish-American experience in the Chicago area. Of particular interest to us are the official records of the above institutions, personal papers of families and individuals active in our histories, and records of Chicago-area businesses, clubs, organizations and persons active in the Swedish-American Chicago community.
We build much our collection through the generous donations from individuals, families and organizations. We appreciate your support, and ask you to contact us if you have any items that you wish to donate to the Archives.

The Archivist will first discuss the material with you, to establish if it is appropriate to one of our various collections and to determine if we are able to accept the material at this time. We will then send to you the appropriate forms. The Archives can only accept donations after consultation with staff, and by legal Deed of Gift. For more information on donations to Archives, please read the helpful brochure  published by the Society of American Archivists.

Transfers of Administrative records

The Archives accepts administrative records of some of the departments of North Park University and the Evangelical Covenant Church. Please contact the Archivist before any transfers of records.
A Transfer of Records Form must accompany any records received by the Archives.

Thank you for your cooperation and support.
