Degree Programs
Masters Degrees
North Park Theological Seminary offers four masters degrees that encompass the full range of preparation for ministry and theological scholarship. Three of the four degrees may be completed from a distance, through a combination of online and residential intensive courses.

Master of Divinity (92 academic credit hours plus 48 units of Field Education) All students must complete at least 30 academic credit hours on campus, through semester-long, J-term, or summer intensive courses.

Master of Arts in Christian Formation (60 academic credits plus 24 units of Field Ed) All students must complete at least 24 academic credit hours on campus, through semester-long, J-term, or summer intensive courses.

Master of Arts in Theological Studies (60 academic credits including a thesis or comprehensive exams) This degree is not available through the online learning option.

Master of Arts in Christian Ministry (42 academic credits plus 24 units of Field Ed) All students must complete at least 21 academic credit hours on campus, through semester-long, J-term, or summer intensive courses.
Dual Degrees
Some of the above degrees can be combined with Business Administration, Management and Nonprofit Administration degrees from the School of Business and Nonprofit Management to provide additional resources for the practical aspects of contemporary ministry. Many of these courses are available online.
Doctor of Ministry in Preaching
North Park Theological Seminary has joined with five other theological seminaries in the Chicago area to offer the Doctor of Ministry in Preaching. This program is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) and is governed by a program committee made up of the dean of the program and two representatives (one of whom is a teacher of preaching) from each of the degree-granting schools.
