International Students
At North Park University, we welcome international students to our campus who are pursuing bachelor's degrees and who come for one-semester exchange programs. International students from other schools in the United States are also welcome to transfer.
We offer a liberal arts program of undergraduate studies unique to the United States. Liberal arts students who choose a bachelor of arts program can explore a wide variety of subjects while completing a required general curriculum and a major area of academic focus. For the remaining third, students may choose to add a second major or pursue a minor. Students who choose a bachelor of science program will devote two-thirds of their studies to their major field and one-third to the required general curriculum.
North Park University also offers an English as a Second Language (ESL) program for students who need to improve English language skills.
North Park University maintains an International Office to help international students with many of their needs including maintainance of F-1 or J-1 visa status and adjusting to life in the United States and in an American university. The University cannot guarantee students will obtain a visa.
Applying to North Park as an international student can be straightforward when you have all the right information. Learn about needed documents, deadlines, visa procedures, and English-proficiency requirements.
With over three decades of history, the partnership between North Park and the Södra Vätterbygdens Folhögskola (SVF) offers a great opportunity for Swedish students to study in the U.S. You can even stay on to receive a North Park degree quickly and affordably.
There is more to college than just the academic program — and that's especially true for international students. Find out about ways you'll fit into our community of students and friends.
