What is a Threshold Experience?

Threshold Experience \thresh'old ex'pe'ri'ence\ The experience of moving from one phase of life to another-a rite of passage, a step of significance, a coming of age.  

Entering North Park University is a Threshold Experience. It is a time of transition, growth and excitement. At North Park, we are committed to helping the new student cross over to the other side of the Threshold. Thus, we have created The Threshold Orientation Program designed with the new student in mind.

Overview of the Threshold Orientation Program

The Threshold Orientation Program is designed to help new North Park Students transition easily into the North Park community.  

Threshold Orientation Weekend

All new students who will begin classes at North Park in January 2010 are expected to participate in a weekend orientation program called Threshold. This year the dates for Spring Threshold are Friday, January 8 - Sunday, January 10, 2010. Spring semester classes begin on Monday, January 11, 2010.

Threshold Staff Application

We are looking for current North Park students who are interested in serving on the Spring Threshold 2010 student staff!  If you love meeting new people and want to share your passion for North Park with the new students who will join our community in January, please turn in an application by Friday, October 23, 2009.
