I earned a BS in Mathematics (with physics and Spanish minors) from North Park College and an MS and a PhD in Mathematics from Washington State University. The most fascinating books that I’ve read include:  Awakenings (about people awakening from a long-term catatonic state, it’s more amazing than the movie), The Gulag Archipelago (about human nature revealed by a vile environment), The Number Sense (about humankind’s intrinsic mathematical abilities), and Shattered Sword (about the battle of Midway).
