Setting Up Email

This page gives you instructions on setting up your North Park e-mail account. It is best to do this before you leave your country so you can use the computers as soon as you arrive.

1. Go to the North Park Password Change page located in the Computer Services section under Current Students.

2. Enter your seven-digit North Park University ID number (starting with a 0) and click "submit."

3. You will be asked for your last (family) name.

4. You will be asked for your birth date (month, day, year).

5. From the menu on the next page, select a password hint question (for example, “Who was your favorite high school teacher?”) and type in the answer.

6. You will be asked to type in some of the information again to “verify” it.

7. You will see your user ID, which is the first half of your e-mail address (before "@northpark.edu").

8. Now think of a password that you will remember but other people will not guess easily. The password must be at least ten characters long and contain both letters and numbers only. You can't use your own name or ID number. For example:

water123 is not a valid (good) password because it is too short.
watermelon is not a valid password because it doesn't have a number in it.
1234567890 is not a valid password because it doesn't have a letter in it.
watermelon2 is a valid password because it is at least ten characters long and contains both letters and numbers.

When you arrive, you can use any computer on campus by entering your user ID and password . You can change your password at any time by going back to the Password Change page. If you have problems, let me know and I will contact Computer Services for you.
