Meet the Summer Staff

Here are a few people at North Park that you will meet when you arrive.

Dr. Dennis Bricault is the Director of ESL Programs. He organizes all aspects of the summer program and teaches one afternoon Culture course.

Mrs. Ann-Helen Anderson is our International Student Advisor. You may recognize her name because she is one of the people who wrote your I-20 and mailed you information about North Park. You will see her on the first day of the program.

Some other important people at North Park are Dr. Charles Peterson, the Dean of Academic Affairs; Ms. Jen Pope , who coordinates international programs; Dr. Cherie Meacham and Dr. Linda Craft, who oversee the exchange program between North Park and Morelia, Mexico; and Ms. Melinda Peterson, who processed your application. Many of these people will all be at a lunch reception on the first day of the program.

The teachers in the program are Rebecca Cheng, Leija Hamalainen, Pamela Leister, Kristin Lems,  Melissa Pavlik, and Bob Shiel. You will meet them during the first three days of the program.

There are also several North Park student assistants who will accompany you on field trips and lead other activities. You will see many of them at different times during the summer.

Don't worry if you can't remember all these names. You will have five weeks to get to know everyone in the program.
