Class size

Small classes (usually 6-12 students per class) with personalized attention. Read what students say about our program.

Faculty

Our teachers are highly qualified, caring, and experienced.

Curriculum

Our academic English curriculum allows students to build skills in speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and American culture within an exciting academic context.

No TOEFL

The TOEFL is not required for admission for students who have already been accepted into an undergraduate mainstream program at North Park (check with individual graduate programs about their admissions policies). Students completing all ESL Program requirements proceed directly into the program in which they have been previously admitted (undergraduate or most graduate programs).

Credits

Students can apply up to 8 semester-hours of credit toward graduation.

General Education

Students who complete the Advanced level fulfill North Park's foreign-language requirement.

Facilities

ESL students have complete use of all campus facilities: computer lab (with e-mail and Internet), Helwig Fitness Center, gymnasium, chapel, audio-visual laboratory (with listening lab, videos, and CD's), and library.

Activities

Students can join in a wide variety of extracurricular activities: International Student Association, Korean Association, Latin-American Student Association, Asian-American Association, Scandinavian Student Association, and many other student clubs and organizations.
